Consulting
In addition to my academic research, I train, consult, and converse about social and mobile technologies with lots of people. My particular areas of expertise are in sociology/culture, young people, identity, and education. I enjoy working with those just starting to explore and understand these media/technologies, as well as how to apply them to their professional, personal, and social lives. I strive to bridge the gap between expert and “newbie” with an emphasis on usability (how people actually use these techs), as well as what that usage means within wider contexts.
